Friday's Fashion find of the week!

Welcome to todays fashion find for Friday.

I wouldn't neccessarily say it is a 'fashion find' but slightly more a 'comfortable, colourful find'.
I am trying to add a bit of variation each week and I do like my cardi's!

I found this lovely fresh Spring blue stripe cardi in Miss Selfridge for £35. Cut on the bias and simply hangs with a two tone blue stripe. It looked lovely on and was nice and light to wear.

I then saw this pretty scarf with pink and red hearts, also Miss Selfridge £12.50 which I thought would be nice for spring and would also make a lovely present for someone.

Add a bit of colour to your life!!

It's a bit of busy Thursday here with a million and one things to do.
I have had so many emails to go through this morning.

Off to pack todays orders in a few minutes and then might just treat myself to lunch at Starbucks if I am a lucky girl as a proper lunch break is not all that common.

Our new stock starts comming in next Monday I have heard so I can't wait for that.

Another busy day

It's another very busy morning here at Lello, with what feels like too many things to do.
I'm off in a moment to pack a mountain of orders which are mainly going out to retailers across the UK in time for our carrier who arrives at about 3pm each day.
I also have a huge order going to New Zealand early next week which we will need to get started on. Our jewellery is proving very popular in New Zealand and we have been really pleased with the success of it over there....... wish I could take it there personally!

Lots of emails to deal with this morning so I will be dashing back and forth to my desk to check on those throughout the morning.

It's a happy day, now that we have the news that one of our friends has given birth to a very healthy little 'big' boy. So well done Nikki and Matt!!! can't wait to see him.

What are we wearing at Lello today?

Fiona is pretty in pink today wearing one of our classics, the 'Vintage Rose', glass beaded pale pink bracelet. Very pretty with smaller beads than most of our other bracelets, each bead has painted roses inside it. A very popular bracelet. £7.00.

I am wearing our nautical bracelet made from blue and white stripe glass beads with little silevr coloured beads between each one and red enamel ships wheel. £6.00

Lastly I am wearing our 'Vanessa' earrings today, made from ivory glass pearls, with a diamanti finding in between the small and large pearl. As with all our earrings they have silver backs on them.
My little girl loves these she lets me know every morning if she approves! £7.00.

Has time stood still

Coming into Lello this morning I feel like I have had 4 days off not 2 as we made so much of each day and the weather. What a great weekend it was. But my muscles tell another story after hours of bouncing on our trampoline with my two children. It seemed like a good idea at the time, I feel like I've done a 4 mile run!

It's very quiet here this morning as everyone gets on with their work and especially now all the children are back at school, I no longer have their scooters in the office nor their little faces peering behind the door.

We have a design and a jewellery meeting booked in today to go through all our jobs in progress and to start re-ordering out of stock jewellery lines. Our new Spring Summer jewellery starts arriving this week, yippee!!!!

Friday's fashion Find of the Week

I found this cute little navy blue jacket in Dorothy Perkins, £35.00. It's made from a cotton linen mix, has three quarter sleeves and exaggerated, ruffled shoulders (a bit '80's). The jacket sits nicely on the waist and buttons quite low at the front. With two little pockets and pretty silk lining.
Very on trend for those of you who like a bit of Red, White and Blue. If I hadn't already bought myself a little navy jacket for this season I think I'd be buying this one, it's a bit of must.
Sizes 8-18.

Lastly for a laugh:- as it's been the Easter Holidays our children have been at work with us most days. Yesterday they were playing 'Lello Factor' their version of 'X Factor' ......hillarious.
So this morning my two (Heidi and Angus) have come in with their toy microphones! I think I am going to be hearing some tunes coming through the ceiling a bit later.

Stuck for words

I am a bit stuck for words this morning for my blog other than it's a lovely sunny morning, I have just driven my son to his holiday tennis lesson only to find it's not on today! typical. So our nanny has 4 of them to keep occupied this morning, no mean feat. But the park is across the road so that should keep them happy till lunch time.
I am frantically trying to organise our air freight this morning to get our new stock in, which seems to drag from one day to the next but I know it won't be long now.
I also have a lot of costings to do which will take me some time, plus about 20 orders to send out to retailers so my cup of tea is rapidly getting cold!

I might just treat myself to some cake at Starbucks at lunchtime, no doubt with a couple of children in tow as they absolutely love it there!

Hope this doesn't offend anyone!

WOMEN'S BUM SIZE STUDY
There is a new study just released by the American Psychiatric Association about women and how they feel about their bums.
The results are pretty shocking:

1. Only 5% of women surveyed feel their bum is too big
2. 10% of women surveyed feel their bum is too small
3. The remaining 85% say they don't care.. they love him, he's a good man,
and they would have married him anyway!

Where does the time go?

I know we have had a bank holiday, but to think it is Wednesday already and the children are back at school on Monday, these past few weeks seem to have flown by.

I have just packed the days deliveries of which there are many and my hands are sore from all that celotape and making up of boxes! plus some of the boxes are very heavy, but hey us women are multi tasking!

I now turn my attentions to our new lines which fingers crossed will arrive next week and go straight into stock as everything now seems to be ready, it is surprising sometimes how easily deliveries can get held up both overseas and here in the UK so it is never an exact science.

Below see a picture of me today, wearing my favourite colour 'red' my red miracle bead bracelet, £6.00 which has always been a favourite and is one of our orginal ones from 3 years ago so it has worn very well and my new favourite 'sweetheart' earrings which I have worn nearly everyday for the past few weeks, £5.00 which match the heart on my bracelet.
Please note all our earrings (bar 'parade') have sterling silver backs to them.

We are all a bit bleary eyed this morning after the Easter break so it is all very quiet and people are just getting on with their work.

I have just packed the days orders which will be dispatched at the end of the day, we appear to have been very busy with web orders over the holiday's so thank you to our customers for those,
they should be with you tomorrow!

Today Fiona is dressed in camel and brown, so wearing our chunky brown, leopard print wooden bracelet with large heart Maya £7.00. It also has a matching necklace, Marcey which is £17.00.

I am dressed in blue and coral, so I am wearing our ceramic butterfly bracelet, £8.00 which also comes with a matching necklace £16.00.

It's a bit chilly in our office, hence we both have our scarves on!!!

3 sleeps till the Easter Bunny comes!

This was the topic of conversation in my house this morning.

Very busy today at Lello, lots and lots of paperwork to go through, so there will be no break for me today.
Our designers are putting a few quotes together on a couple of new design briefs aswell as all the other design work they have on.
I will be dashing off in a few moments to start packing the web orders and making my daily walk down to the post office with them later, providing it doesn't rain!

I have a favourite of our new Spring Summer jewellery ranges, 'Apache' £11.99 which should come into stock at the end of next week if not the beg of the following week. I have worn it nearly everyday! It is made from an antique metal effect with 5 strands of long narrow beads with smaller round beads between them. With a Lello tag and oval flat metal bead. It is quite light weight and I have received lots of comments about it when I wear it.

Please note we are closed tomorrow, Friday and also next Monday, back to usual on Tuesday. Web orders placed over the Easter break will be dispatched on Tuesday 6th April.

Damp and Dreary but Sunny inside!

It might be damp and dreary outside but we are all smiles here at Lello today. Maybe because Easter is only a few days away and everyone will enjoy a very well deserved break and maybe because a lot of new jewellery is due in 'at last' next week.

What's most is important is that our children are happy. The eldest two are off playing tennis this morning (as the rain holds off) and the youngest two are up in our playroom here at Lello being well looked after. I took this picture of myself and my little girl and my sister's youngest son this morning as they were motoring around the room in their little cars.

Meanwhile I am trying to organise the delivery of our new jewellery which should arrive late next week and once it comes in will be uploaded onto our website the following week.

I am also starting to plan a 'sale day' here at Lello for a date tbc in May/June. We have lots of old lines of jewellery and all manner of stock which we would like to sell through and thought it would be a good idea to have an 'open air' sale here in our car park. More info, nearer the time.
We will plan it for a weekend.

I have snapped Fiona and I today.

What a dreary week we have in store

After such a lovely weekend, what a shame there is so much rain fore casted and whilst the children are off for Easter, it just doesn't seem fair to them, all they want to do is play outside.

I am blowing my nose every few minutes (another cold) whilst going through 'literally' about 500 or more emails which have built up last week whilst we had problems with our Internet. It's not much fun, but I am getting through them.
Everyone here is very busy this morning, we have a couple of design jobs on which need to be finished before Wednesday and a good deal of orders shops want before Easter.

I have done my Easter shop (eggs), my 3yr old knows that I will leave the kitchen window open for the Easter bunny to hop through on Sunday morning and she is already checking out possible places it will leave all the little eggs in. My 8 year old however is far too clued in but has agreed to go along with the charade for the sake of his sister and of cause the egg hunt. It's a ritual for us every year and we sometimes find little eggs days and week's later which have rolled under the sofa or become hidden behind a curtain. It's great fun!! but it's not fun insisting they don't eat them all straight away!!

We are finally back online here at Lello, 4 days of no emails or internet access has proved very trying.

Fashion Find of the Week

I have been a little bit more conservative this week after the comments I had on facebook last month! although they were a bit of laugh from someone I knew who thought one of the dresses I'd chosen was 'awful', I thought I'd go for something a little more 'everyday'.

So for those of you ladies who like Boden, I saw this lovely cardigan made by Miss Selfridge. Navy blue with white spots, slim line sleeves, buttons down the front and with two little pockets at the front. Very cute, in a fine knit, so nothing heavy. In fact I liked it so much I bought one!
At £25.00 it is almost half the price of a Boden cardigan and I think I will be wearing it all summer as it will go with so many things. The scarf is my own which I tied round the hanger (Tommy Hilfiger from TKMaxx) as I am a bit of scarf 'freak'.
Very on-trend for Spring Summer for the 'nautical' red white and blue look. But maybe a bit twee for some?

The second picture is a really pretty blouse/top by Warehouse made from a very fine cotton with gold running through it, gives the top a slight shimmer. It has 2 ruffles running down the front and also down the back with an elasticated waste. The sleeves are for those of you out there who have nice arms! Although I liked it very much I don't think my arms are quite up to wearing it, also £25.00 and would look great with jeans. Slightly see through. The top is beige with highlights of pink, purple, orange blue and gold.

Crumbs we are swamp ted with jewellery orders today, which is really great despite the fact our new Spring Summer stock hasn't arrived yet! Our customers for now seem quite happy to order from our current lines.
It's too soon to say that retailers are in any kind of recovery as it is so tough out there for everyone. But they can order as little as £75 worth of stock from Lello, we deliver in 2 days on most occasions and it allows the retailers to have new stock to sell through without breaking the bank and they can re-order online whenever they want to.

We are also offering our retail customers a 5% discount if they pay us in 10 days from date of invoice as in incentive to save themselves some money.

What's happening today

I will be desk bound today after being out most of yesterday at what proved to be an exciting opportunity for Lello jewellery.
Amongst my 10's of emails I have a long check list of things to get through today including contacting all our sales agents who work round the country selling our cards and jewellery.
Meanwhile we are working on an ad which will go into one of the jewellery and handbag magazines called 'Attire' which needs to be finished today and also uploading the remaining last few spring summer jewellery lines to the website.

I have had a quick snap taken this morning as I am off to what I hope will be a very promising meeting this afternoon for our jewellery. So my fingers and toes are crossed!

I am wearing one of my favourite necklaces Lello has produced which is light weight and very comfortable to wear.
'Florence' £17.00, is made up of 7 strands of small grey beads held together with much larger oblong beads towards the top. It's the kind of necklace you can just pull on over your head which why I think I wear it so much. There is also a matching bracelet which I usually wear aswell but seem to have forgotten to put it on this morning. 'Rosa' £8.00.

But it's not now!
Busy here with mail order's today not sure why so many people decided to order online over the weekend but we are grateful so thank you. Being relatively un known it is a side of the business we hope to expand over the year with orders over Christmas being double what they had been for a six month period! I think it must have been our great sale items and free delivery.

I am afraid our shop plans are on hold for the time being, we were planning to open a shop here on site to the public but for now we have put it on the back burner until we have time to devote to it properly.
We are having a big stock take today which is taking it's time, with the new jewellery lines due in soon, it's essential we have a bit of move around to make way for it.

Our new shop

I will have date for you next week about a date for us opening our shop here at Lello.
We aim to have it open before the end of March so that customers can come in and buy our lovely jewellery and other gifts.
Based here in Syston we have ample parking and will be open Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm.

It's a funny day!

It is a bit of an odd day here today, lots of emails to catch up on, checking out some of the new designs for Autmn Winter which are looking lovely and deciding on where everything in our new shop is going to go.
I have attached a picture of myself as I am wearing one of our lovely glass bead cluster bracelets today, in ivory, £9.99, not one I wear all that often but it goes well with my stripey jumper!
and I think I will be wearing it much more often after today.
I think I look a bit sleepy! must be my cold.....

I quickly snapped Melanie today although she won't be very happy with the picture as she looks half asleep! sorry Mel.
Let's put it down to her being very pregnant!
Mel looked lovely today all in grey and silver with her growing bump showing.
